  1. Sleep after brushing your teeth at night. After waking up in the morning, sit and drink lukewarm water, sip by sip, without gargling. Starting with one or two glasses, as much as you can comfortably drink, gradually increase it to one and a quarter liter (1.1/4 liters).
  2. Bhojanante Vishambari means drinking water at the end of the meal is like drinking poison. Therefore, do not drink water half an hour before and one and a half hours after eating food. Be sure to drink water after one and a half hours. As an alternative to water, you can drink fresh juice of seasonal fruits (not canned) after the morning meal, buttermilk after lunch and if you are not a heart patient, you can also drink curd lassi. Hot milk after evening meal. It is important not to reverse the order of these things.
  3. Whenever you drink water, drink it while sitting and sip it.
  4. Never drink water from the refrigerator. You can drink water from an earthen pot during summer.
  5. A morning meal should be eaten within two to three hours of sunrise. You should check the time of sunrise in your city and then decide the time of a meal. Eat your favorite food on a full stomach in the morning.
  6. Eat lunch one-third less than the morning meal, if you eat three rotis in the morning, eat two in the afternoon. Immediately after having lunch, lie down on your left side, you can even sleep if you want, but for at least 20 minutes, maximum 40 minutes. Not more than 40 minutes.
  7. On the contrary, do not sleep immediately after dinner in the evening. After the meal, walk at least 500 steps. If possible, eat dinner before sunset.
  8. Do not use the refrigerator, microwave oven, pressure cooker, and aluminum utensils for cooking.
  9. Do not use refined oil in food. Use pure oil from the oil seeds grown in the area where you live, if mustard is abundant in your area then use mustard oil, if there are peanuts then use peanut oil, if there is coconut then use coconut oil. The oil should come straight out of the (Kachi Ghani)
  10. One should always use rock salt in food and not salt containing iodine. Instead of sugar, you can use jaggery, shakkar, local sugar, or Mishri.
  11. Do not consume any intoxicant, tea, coffee, non-vegetarian food, flour, or bakery products.
  12. Drink turmeric milk before sleeping at night after brushing your teeth.
  13. While sleeping, the head should be towards the east.
  14. Fruit juice, excessively oily foods, buttermilk, and sour foods should not be consumed at night.
  15. After eating things containing ghee or oil, one should not drink water immediately but after one and a half hours.
  16. Walking or running too fast immediately after meals is harmful. Therefore one should go after taking rest for some time.
  17. After eating food in the evening, one should take a walk in pure air. Sleeping immediately after eating causes stomach disorders.
  18. One should wake up early in the morning and do exercise or physical labor in the open air.
  19. One should never drink water after walking in strong sunlight, after doing physical exertion, or immediately after defecation.
  20. Honey and ghee alone should not be consumed by mixing them in equal quantity, it becomes poisonous.
  21. In food and drink, opposing substances, like milk and jackfruit, milk and curd, fish and milk, etc. should not be taken together.
  22. One should never sleep with a cloth tied on the head or wearing socks.
  23. Reading in very bright or dim light, watching too much TV or cinema, consuming too many hot and cold things, using too many chilies and spices, and walking in strong sunlight, all these should be avoided. Even if you have to walk in strong sunlight, you should wear a cloth over your head and ears.
  24. The patient should always be given hot or lukewarm water to drink. And the patient should be protected from cold air, exertion, and anger.
  25. It is written in Ayurveda that sleep calms Pitta, massage reduces Vatta, and vomiting reduces Kapha. Therefore, these things must be kept in mind while doing home remedies.
  26. In case of a burn due to fire or any hot object, the burnt part should be kept in cold water.
  27. If the juice of the leaves is to be put in the ear in case of ear pain, then it should be put only before sunrise or after sunset.
  28. Medicines to relieve indigestion and flatulence should always be taken after meals.
  29. In case of stagnation of stool or constipation, if diarrhea is to be done then it should be done in the morning only, not at night.
  30. If a teenage boy or girl at home suffers from epileptic seizures, he should not be made to vomit, have diarrhea, or loose stools.
  31. If any medicine has to be mixed in a thin substance then it should be mixed in buttermilk, coconut water, or plain water instead of tea, coffee, or milk.
  32. Asafoetida should always be used after frying it in local ghee. Raw asafoetida should be applied to the paste.
